Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty 30W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp Blues, Limited Edition Blonde

Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty 30W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp Blues, Limited Edition Blonde

The Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty packs 30W of power into a 1x10 combo amp in Fender's Guitar Digital Entertainment Center series. The G-DEC 3 Thirty takes an exciting leap forward in technology and content with easy computer connectivity. An additional bonus is that many of the Fender G-DEC 3 amp's 100 presets and audio performance loops are created by the world's top artists and session aces.

The G-DEC 3's wealth of backing tracks consists not of generic presets and loops, but rather a stylistically diverse sonic smorgasbord of tracks created specially for Fender by top rock, blues, metal, and country artists and session players.

Consequently, the Fender G-DEC 3 can easily be configured as an "all rock," "all metal," "all blues," or "all country" amp personally tailored to your own musical tastes.

The G-DEC 3 also includes the exclusive Fender FUSE software interface, which connects the amp to a computer as easily as connecting your digital camera, without need for any special adapters or hardware. With Fender FUSE you can download and upload backing tracks, edit performance parameters, and swap files with a worldwide community of fellow guitar players.

When it comes time to actually playing the electric guitar, the amp you choose might end up being more important than the actual guitar itself. You want something that is going to give you great sound and clear tone, while at the same time stays able to handle effects smoothly.  The Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty 30W guitar amp seems to deliver in each and every one of these categories.
At first glance, the Fender G-DEC amp looks like a standard piece of amplification hardware.  It’s your basic box with a silver front and a handle up top.  But upon closer inspection, you’ll realize that there’s a digital screen and plenty of plug-ins including a USB so that you can connect the amp to your computer for easy recording.  Those are the bells and whistles that sets the G-DEC 30 apart from many of its contemporaries.

Once you plug your guitar in and start strumming, you’ll find that the sound is crystal clear. The G-DEC has multiple functions to bring the distortion levels into speed and you are completely in control of every sound that comes out of the amp.

What's nice

- Play along capabilities

- Controls with digital display screen

- Onboard file storage

- SD Card slot

- Recording software

The Fender G-DEC has come a long way in controls and features from other amps.  There is a lot of software included so that you can play along with any song with backing tracks. The onboard file storage supports MP3 and WAV file formats and you will be able to save songs that you make as well as play popular songs from your amp to play along to.  The ability to record your own jam sessions with the computer connectivity and the including recording software is what makes this amp so popular with amateurs and pros alike.

What's not so nice

-Software is sensitive

The only minus seems to be more from the software that comes with the amp rather than the amp itself. The Fender FUSE software is a complicated download that doesn’t properly load on all computers. There are a few complaints on not being able to delete or edit presets and the interface is a little confusing. Once you get past the fickle software, the amp works like a dream.

Within this price range, the amp is everything you could ask for.  There are a lot of aspects on the amp that'll enable you to produce any kind of music that you like. Whether it’s the blues, country or metal, there are plenty of backing tracks, plus the onboard file storage which allows for hours of endless experimentation.

Fender has been a trusted brand in the music industry for years and everyone who seems to purchase the amp has been extremely happy with their purchase.
