The Gibson Explorer guitar is consistently rated as one of the top guitars for players in the metal, punk or rock genre. It has a smooth finish and low action which makes for great soloing and fast fretting.
But it would be a mistake to think this guitar is fitting only for hard genres. With the right effects, this instrument will produce blues, clean or classic rock sounds that will amaze any audience.
This guitar has 1 Tone knob, 2 Volume knobs, a 496R pickup in the neck and a 500T bridge pick-up. It's an ideal guitar for live performances and, like most high end guitars, stays in tune excellently.
