Peavey 6505 112 60W 1x12

Peavey 6505 112 60W 1x12" Tube Combo Guitar Amp Black

The Peavey 6505 112 is the combo version of the acclaimed 6505+ amplifier. This portable powerhouse features five 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 - 6L6GC power amp tubes, with presence and resonance controls and 3-band EQ for taming their notorious tone. It also includes 3-spring Accutronix reverb and the Microphone Simulated Direct Interface (MSDI), which delivers the sound of a miked guitar cabinet in live performance and studio recording applications.

The 6505 Series of guitar amplifiers celebrates of Peavey's first 40 years, 1965 to 2005. The 6505 amp is also the relaunch of the 5150 Series, the immensely popular amplifiers Peavey designed with Edward Van Halen.

The Peavey Company has been in the industry of manufacturing guitar amplifiers for more than 40 years now. Although the business also makes other musical instruments and accessories as well, it is mostly famous for its top rated guitar amplifiers. Let's have a look at one popular Peavey model in more detail...

As its name suggest, this Combo Amp stocks 60 Watts of driven power - Loud enough for rowdy gigs and lightweight enough (65 pounds) to be transported without too much effort.

This particular model of Peavey measures 30 x 26 x 16 and features a 3-band equalizer on each channel.

This amp has 5 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 6L6GC power amp tubes. Its resonance and presence controls are very easy to manage too.

The Peavey 6505 has a integrated microphone-simulated XLR and has an external speaker jack as well for connecting up additional output.

This is a powerful guitar amplifier. It has 60 watts power and you can choose from 16, 8 or 4 ohms as this has a switchable control. And since it uses a tube system instead of a solid state system, it can also produce louder and clearer sounds than other less-featured guitar amps.

This amplifier is equipped with a foot-switchable lead and rhythm channel select controls. And both the lead and rhythm channels have pre-gain and post-gain controls too. In fact, the rhythm channel even has a crunch boost control that you can adjust to suit your preferences.

With 60 Watts of power, this amp is powerful and loud.  However, unlike many similar models this unit is lightweight as it weighs in at a relatively low 65 pounds. The external features of the Peavey 6505 are also just as impressive as its overall design. It has a classic style and color which can make every guitar player proud.

Not the cheapest amp around.

The Peavey 6505 60W Combo Amp is probably one of the most powerful and sought-after guitar amplifiers today. In spite of its seemingly high price, many beginner and professional guitar players still prefer this brand and model for gigs and concerts.

Although there are other cheap brands and products available on the market, the Peavey brand still stands out because of its quality, style and powerful design.  By having this particular model, a guitarist can deliver the type of sound that can hold the attention of the audience.
