The internet is overflowing with make-money-from-home stuff... I'm sure you know what I mean. Every day in my inbox (or, luckily, spambox) I get luring promotions promising to make me rich with very little effort and all from the comfort of my living room.
But the hard truth is that 99% of internet business schemes are just JUNK. And there's no better way to put it. Whether its filling out surveys, clicking on certain ads, performing random tasks and any of the other soul-deadening things you have to do for a couple of cents, is simple not worth the time and effort it takes. I know... I've tried most of them.
The other, super-popular, notion that everyone has got into their heads is that of BLOGGING. Blogging is easy, AND you can make money from it right? Sounds easy enough: Write about whatever people are interested in, slap a couple of Google Adsense ads on your pages, and before you know it you'll retire wealthy...
But... The reality is that the vast majority (my guess is 95%, but probably more) of blogs receive one or two visitors a day. Out of every 100 visitors to your site, you'll be very lucky to get 5 people to click on one of your ads. So good luck earning your retirement that way.
In short, these kinds of spammy approaches to online business will do three things:
1. Waste your time
2. Waste your time
3. Waste your precious, valuable, irretrievable time, that you could've spent building a genuine online business, instead of running after the latest GRQ (Get Rich Quick) scheme.
My personal journey with the whole make money from home, started like most, with blogging, then onto website hosting.
I bought a $3/month package from Yahoo, was given a domain name, a host of unnecessary tools and a good luck. So I started building and writing content in the hopes that it will attract lots of visitors. But, as expected, results were dismal...
After months of content building and promoting my site, I was still averaging around 10 unique visitors a day. Which, although better that most websites out there, is not nearly enough to even start earning any sort of significant income.
Then I discovered Site Build It.
